Leon Williams

Head Coach

Defensive Coordinator

Hometown:

Los Angeles, CA

Biography

Coach Williams has been involved in the Semi-pro football scene for 10+ years as a player and a coach and will be entering his 2nd season as the Apaches Head Coach.

Leon started his career as a player for the California Dolphins (2008-2009) and then played with the Inglewood Blackhawks (2009-2010) for his last 2 years as a player where he won his first championship. He then became a coach for the Blackhawks (2010-2014, 2016) for 5 years as a Defensive Coordinator running a very vaunted, stingy defense which help paved the way for adding 3 more championships for Blackhawks. In 2014, Leon was promoted to be the Head Coach of the Blackhawks, which he lead a very talented group to another championship. During his tenure with the Blackhawks, he was awarded “Coach of the Year” award two times by the league, which speaks volumes for his coaching resume.

He then used that knowledged he gain from his years of coaching and started moving up the coaching ranks in the Junior College system, spending a year with East Los Angeles College (2015) and a year with Southwest College (2017).

We are very lucky and happy to have him, with his football knowledge, to join us on setting a new standard and setting a new tone to our team’s goals and vision.
